Betula utilis var. jacquemontii, commonly known as the Himalayan Birch, is one of the finest ornamental birch trees for brilliant white bark and year-round garden interest. This collection contains 3 established trees, each supplied approximately 4–5ft tall in pots, providing excellent immediate height and a substantial head start over smaller young trees.
Himalayan Birch is particularly prized for its spectacular bright white bark, which becomes increasingly prominent as the trees mature and creates a striking feature, especially during autumn and winter. Fresh green leaves appear in spring, forming an attractive light canopy before developing beautiful golden-yellow autumn colour.
These 4–5ft trees are ideal planted individually or, for maximum impact, planted together as a group of three. Their elegant upright growth and distinctive white stems make them superb for lawns, borders, contemporary gardens, woodland-style planting and larger landscaping schemes.

Please note: Himalayan Birch is deciduous, so trees will naturally lose their leaves during autumn and winter and may arrive completely bare during the dormant season. The characteristic brilliant white bark develops and becomes more pronounced as the trees mature, so younger stems may initially display brown, cream or paler colouring rather than the pure white appearance associated with mature specimens. Height, branching, stem colour, shape and fullness will naturally vary between individual trees. Plants are carefully selected before dispatch.
